In a shocking case of internal theft, a major Apple-authorised retail store in Raspan Market, Ahmedabad, has reported a loss of over ₹1.02 crore. This includes missing Apple products and cash. The store’s manager and a salesman are the main suspects in this incident.

The complaint was filed by Dineshbhai Suvekshatbhai Parikh, the owner of Green Management, which has been in the Apple retail business since 2006. The company sells premium Apple devices, including iPhones, MacBooks, and iPads.

The incident was uncovered during a routine audit on July 3, 2025. Auditors discovered significant discrepancies in stock and cash. Upon inspection, they found that several high-end products were missing along with ₹6.66 lakh in cash.

The missing items include:
– 85 iPhones worth ₹85.91 lakh
– 7 MacBooks valued at ₹8.99 lakh
– 1 iPad priced at ₹34,900
– 18 accessories (cables, chargers, adapters, Apple Pencils) worth ₹52,100
– Cash amounting to ₹6.66 lakh

The total loss is estimated at ₹1.02 crore. Parikh named Kuldeep Singh Jadeja, the store manager, and Mayank Singh Jhala, a salesman, as the prime suspects. He alleged that they took the products and cash without informing management or keeping any records. The audit report confirmed these claims, noting that the missing items were neither sold nor officially transferred.

When questioned, both employees denied knowing anything about the missing stock and cash. However, the nature of the discrepancies suggests deliberate theft. The Nikol police have filed a case against them for criminal breach of trust, theft, and conspiracy. Preliminary investigations indicate that the accused may have sold the products off-record or given them to unknown individuals.

Given the scale of this theft, senior officials from the Ahmedabad Crime Branch are now involved in the investigation. CCTV footage from the store is being reviewed, and statements from staff and external vendors will be recorded to trace the stolen goods. So far, no arrests have been made.

This incident raises serious concerns about internal security in retail environments. Many businesses rely on trust and integrity from their employees. Such a betrayal can have significant financial impacts and damage a company’s reputation.

As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen how the management will respond to this breach of trust. The case highlights the importance of regular audits and monitoring in preventing internal theft. Companies must ensure that they have strong systems in place to safeguard their assets and protect against dishonest employees.

In conclusion, the misappropriation of over ₹1 crore worth of Apple products and cash in Ahmedabad serves as a stark reminder of the need for vigilance in retail operations. Businesses must act swiftly to address such issues to maintain trust with their customers and stakeholders.
