An assessment camp was held for differently abled children in Patan, Saraswati, Chansma, and Siddhpur talukas on Thursday. The event took place under the guidance of Narendra Singh Chavda, the primary education officer of Patan district. The Rotary Club of Patan supported this initiative, which aimed to provide essential assistance to children in need. During the camp, a total of 246 differently abled children were evaluated by a medical team from the Alimco team. The assessment camp saw active participation from various educational and community leaders. Among them were Madhuben Jadav, the IED coordinator for Patan district, and Rataji Thakor, the BRC coordinator for the taluka. Dr. Parimal Jani, the president of the Rotary Club, and former president Bhagwanbhai Patel also attended. Minister Jay Darji and Jayram Patel, the chairman of the S K Blood Bank, were present as well. Ashwinbhai Joshi, the editor of Nibhav, and friends from the IEDSS and special education teachers from all four talukas participated actively, making the camp a success. This camp not only assessed the needs of the children but also aimed to provide them with the necessary resources to improve their lives. It is important to ensure that children with disabilities receive the support they need to thrive in society. The Rotary Club of Patan has been a significant contributor to this cause, working tirelessly to assist those in need. The camp also highlighted the importance of community participation in supporting differently abled individuals. Many parents expressed their gratitude for the services provided during the camp. They appreciated the efforts made to assess their children’s needs and provide them with the appropriate assistance. In Gujarat, such initiatives are crucial for fostering an inclusive society where everyone has equal opportunities. Events like this assessment camp are vital in raising awareness about the challenges faced by differently abled children and promoting their rights. The support from local government bodies and NGOs is essential in making these camps a success. Through collaboration and community engagement, we can ensure that every child, regardless of their abilities, has access to the resources they need to succeed. The assessment camp in Patan serves as a model for similar initiatives across the state. It shows how collective efforts can lead to meaningful change in the lives of differently abled individuals. By continuing to organise such camps, we can help create a brighter future for all children in Gujarat.
