The Banaskantha administration has achieved remarkable success in promoting the welfare of the tribal community. Under the ‘Dharati Abba’ campaign, the district has organized 20 camps in five talukas, benefiting around 8,000 tribal citizens. This initiative aims to ensure that the tribal community gains direct access to government schemes.

The ‘Dharati Abba Jan Jatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’ was launched by the Indian government to enhance the overall development of the tribal community. Guided by District Collector Mihir Patel, the administration conducted these camps over a period of 15 days. These camps allowed thousands of tribal citizens to receive various government services right at their doorstep.

From June 30 to July 15, 2025, the Banaskantha administration successfully organized these camps in various locations. Approximately 18,000 tribal community members participated, and 8,000 citizens received benefits from government schemes during the camps. Each camp reached out to around 400 beneficiaries, ensuring that vital services were delivered directly to the people.

Departments such as health, supply, rural development, social welfare, agriculture, revenue, and panchayat provided essential documents and services. These included Aadhaar cards, ration cards, caste certificates, Ayushman cards, and benefits from schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan accounts, and various loans and pensions.

The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improving the lives of tribal citizens and ensuring their access to essential services. The Banaskantha district has set an outstanding example in executing this campaign effectively, and the positive feedback from citizens demonstrates its impact.

Many participants expressed gratitude for the initiative, stating that it has made accessing government services much easier. The camps not only provided benefits but also educated citizens about ongoing projects in various departments.

This successful campaign highlights the importance of direct engagement with local communities. By bringing services to the people, the administration has shown that it is possible to make a significant difference in the lives of citizens, especially in remote areas.

The Banaskantha district is known for its diverse geography and rich cultural heritage. The new success story of the administration is a testament to effective governance and community involvement in developmental initiatives. As more camps are planned in the future, it is expected that the welfare of the tribal community will continue to improve, paving the way for a brighter future for all.

In conclusion, the Banaskantha administration’s efforts through the ‘Dharati Abba’ campaign are commendable. It provides a model for other regions to follow in ensuring that government benefits reach the most vulnerable sections of society. The administration’s commitment to tribal welfare is a significant step towards inclusive development in Gujarat.
