Ahmedabad, 17 July 2025: Corona Remedies has announced the acquisition of seven brands from Bayer’s pharmaceutical division in India. This strategic move, effective from 16 July 2025, will enhance Corona Remedies’ presence in the cardiology segment and the women’s healthcare portfolio. The brands included in this acquisition are NOKLOT for cardiology and FOSTINE, LUPROFACT, MENODAC, OVIDAC, SPYE, and VAGESTON for women’s health. This acquisition strengthens Corona Remedies’ position in both fields.

Additionally, Corona Remedies aims to expand its footprint in the gonadotropin and progesterone hormone market, which is valued at ₹1862 crores by June 2025. Corona Remedies’ sales and marketing team, along with a robust distribution network, will ensure that the newly acquired portfolio reaches patients in metro, semi-metro, urban, semi-urban, and rural areas. The company expects that this acquisition will increase its market presence and expand its portfolio.

This acquisition is part of a broader strategy by Corona Remedies to enhance its offerings in critical healthcare segments. By focusing on cardiology and women’s health, the company aims to cater to the growing needs of patients in India. The healthcare landscape in India is rapidly evolving, and companies like Corona Remedies are positioning themselves to meet these challenges head-on.

The acquisition also highlights the growing importance of women’s health in the pharmaceutical industry. With an increasing number of women seeking specialized healthcare services, companies are recognizing the need to develop targeted treatments and therapies. Corona Remedies’ new portfolio will play a vital role in addressing these needs.

Moreover, the global trend of mergers and acquisitions in the pharmaceutical sector is being mirrored in India. Companies are looking to acquire brands and technologies that can complement their existing product lines and provide them with a competitive edge. This acquisition by Corona Remedies is a clear indication of this trend.

In conclusion, the acquisition of seven brands from Bayer is a significant step for Corona Remedies. It not only strengthens its position in the cardiology and women’s healthcare segments but also reflects the company’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare solutions to patients in India. As the healthcare market continues to grow, such strategic moves will be crucial for companies looking to thrive in this competitive landscape.
