In a big step for the real estate industry, CREDAI and CEPT University have launched a new program. This initiative is called the Professional Certificate Program in Excellence in Real Estate Development. It is specially designed for CREDAI members. The program will help real estate professionals gain important skills and knowledge. It aims to mix academic insights with real-world practices. This way, professionals can improve their work and decision-making in the industry.
The first session of the program took place recently. Many important figures attended, including Dhruv N Patel, the President of CREDAI Ahmedabad GIHED, and other notable members from both CREDAI and CEPT University. Dr. Subhrangshu Goswami, who leads the CEPT Professional Programs, was also present, along with Shubhankar Mitra, who is the Program Lead.
This six-week program focuses on various aspects of real estate development. It covers urban development, architecture, and engineering. Participants will learn how to manage projects better and make informed decisions. The program is designed to enhance the skills needed for today’s changing urban environment. It also addresses the latest technologies and regulations affecting real estate.
The curriculum includes expert-led sessions, real-world case studies, and field trips. Participants will interact with seasoned professionals and gain insights into the best practices in the industry. The program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the real estate landscape in India.
Participants will explore important topics like project feasibility, sustainable architecture, and urban planning tools. They will learn about green building certifications such as GRIHA and LEED. This knowledge is key for developing responsible projects that meet global sustainability goals.
Moreover, the program will introduce tools and frameworks that participants can use immediately in their work. Although there is no final project, the structure encourages participants to connect insights from various modules to their real-world challenges. This ensures that learning remains relevant and actionable.
The program is open only to CREDAI members. Applicants should have a diploma or degree in any field and at least three years of experience in real estate development. Proficiency in English is also required, as all sessions will be conducted in English. The application process will start on June 1, 2025. After submitting their applications, CREDAI will nominate a group of candidates to attend CEPT University. Final decisions will be made after online interviews.
At the end of the program, participants will receive a co-branded certificate from both CEPT University and CREDAI. To receive the certificate, participants must attend at least 90% of the program. This initiative is a great opportunity for real estate professionals to enhance their skills and contribute to the development of their cities.
