DMFT Hosts IT Awards and AI Challenge to Boost Talent in Gujarat

The Dewang Mehta Foundation Trust (DMFT) has recently organised the Dewang Mehta IT Awards 2025 and the Maverick Effect AI Challenge 2025. This event took place in collaboration with the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Gujarat Technological University (GTU). The aim is to develop a strong talent pool of engineers in Gujarat and provide students an opportunity to showcase their skills.

The event was a success, featuring 225 project entries from 41 colleges and universities across the state. Students from major cities such as Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Gandhinagar, Anand, and Surendranagar participated in this exciting competition.

The IT Awards celebrate outstanding contributions in the field of information technology. They recognise projects that demonstrate innovation, creativity, and technical excellence. The awards aim to encourage students to pursue careers in technology and engineering, highlighting the importance of these fields in today’s job market.

The Maverick Effect AI Challenge focused on artificial intelligence. Participants were tasked with creating innovative AI solutions to address real-world problems. This challenge encouraged students to think critically and develop practical applications of their knowledge. By engaging in such challenges, students gain valuable experience and exposure to industry standards.

Both initiatives are part of DMFT’s broader mission to bridge the skill gap in Gujarat. Many industries are seeking skilled professionals, but there is often a mismatch between what students learn in schools and what employers need. By providing platforms like these awards and challenges, DMFT aims to prepare students for successful careers in technology.

The event also fostered collaboration among students, universities, and industry leaders. This interaction is vital for creating a network of support and guidance for budding engineers. It allows students to gain insights into the latest trends and technologies in the field.

The awards ceremony will recognise the best projects and innovative ideas. Winning can significantly enhance a student’s career prospects. It provides recognition and can open doors to internships, jobs, and further educational opportunities.

DMFT plans to continue these initiatives in the future to further promote IT and AI developments in Gujarat. By nurturing talent and encouraging innovation, they aim to strengthen the state’s position as a hub for technology and engineering.

In conclusion, the Dewang Mehta IT Awards 2025 and the Maverick Effect AI Challenge 2025 are pivotal in shaping the future of technology in Gujarat. These events not only celebrate talent but also inspire students to pursue their passions in IT and AI, ensuring that Gujarat remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
