Grand Tiranga Yatra Held in Bhildi, Disa Taluka

A grand Tiranga Yatra took place in Bhildi, a town in Disa Taluka, Gujarat. The event began at the Shri Ichhapurn Hanuman Temple located at Bhildi Market Yard. It then moved along Railway Station Road and through the Main Market to the Goga Maharaj Temple near the Bhildi Police Station. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with devotional music played by DJs. Many prominent local leaders attended the event. This included Bhildi Police Inspector Dhavalbhai Patel and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district president Kiritsinh Vaghela. Other notable attendees were Diador MLA Keshaji Chauhan, Bhildi BJP Mandal president Gamansingh Rathod, and several other local officials and staff from the Bhildi Police Station. Community leaders, cooperative heads, sarpanches, and many traders joined in, reflecting the strong community spirit.

Students from local primary and high schools, along with their teachers, also participated in large numbers. After the Tiranga Yatra, a tree planting program was held at the Bhildi Community Health Center. This initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage community participation in green efforts.

Bhildi, known for its vibrant market and agricultural activity, is an important town in the Disa Taluka. The residents are primarily engaged in farming, livestock rearing, and related trades. The area is known for growing wheat, cumin, pearl millet, cotton, and various vegetables. Despite its growth and importance, Bhildi is still functioning under the governance of a gram panchayat, which limits its development.

Local residents have been advocating for Bhildi to be declared a taluka headquarters. They believe this designation would accelerate development and improve access to government services. Currently, people from Bhildi have to travel to Disa for many official purposes, which can be time-consuming. The community feels that Bhildi deserves better infrastructure and resources, given its size and economic importance.

The demand for Bhildi to become a taluka has been ongoing. Previously, the government had taken steps to consider this request, but the process has not been completed. The presence of a railway station, national highway, market yard, police station, and large retail establishments supports the argument for its elevation to a taluka status.

Community members are hopeful that continued advocacy and events like the Tiranga Yatra will bring attention to their needs. The spirit of unity displayed during the yatra serves as a reminder of the community’s strength and determination to seek better opportunities and recognition from the government. As Bhildi continues to grow, its residents remain committed to ensuring that their voices are heard and that their needs are met.
