Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan Rehearsal in Prantij Ahead of Independence Day

In Sabarkantha district, preparations for Independence Day are in full swing. A rehearsal took place in Prantij on August 15, 2025, marking the 79th Independence Day celebrations. The event was attended by District Collector Lalit Narayan Singh Sadu and other officials. The main celebration will occur at the Awar On High School in Prantij. The district administration has made extensive arrangements for this event.

During the rehearsal, the Collector inspected the parade. Students from local schools showcased various cultural programs, bringing a festive spirit to the occasion. The Independence Day celebration will also feature the presence of Health and Family Welfare Minister Rishikesh Patel.

Attendees at the rehearsal included District Development Officer Harshad Vora, District Police Chief Vijay Patel, Assistant Collector Krishna Vaghela, and several other officials. A large number of students participated, demonstrating their enthusiasm for the upcoming celebration.

This rehearsal is part of the larger Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which encourages citizens to display the Indian flag at home. The campaign aims to foster patriotism and unity among the people. It is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, commemorating 75 years of India’s independence.

The Har Ghar Tiranga initiative encourages people to hoist the national flag at their homes. Citizens are invited to take selfies with the flag and upload them to the campaign’s website. This activity not only instills a sense of pride but also connects individuals with the national symbol in a personal way.

The Indian national flag, known as Tiranga, features three horizontal stripes of saffron, white, and green. Each colour represents different values: saffron stands for bravery, white for peace, and green for prosperity. The blue Ashoka Chakra in the centre signifies the wheel of law and the importance of movement and progress.

The campaign also emphasizes the importance of cleanliness and civic responsibility, with initiatives encouraging citizens to participate in local clean-up activities. As part of the celebrations, various local events, such as flag hoisting ceremonies and cultural performances, will take place across the country.

The government has made it easier for citizens to display the flag by amending the Flag Code of India. This allows the flag to be flown on any day, not just on national holidays, as long as it is displayed respectfully. Schools and local organizations are also involved in spreading awareness about the significance of the flag and the values it represents.

In Prantij, the rehearsal serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and aims to inspire a sense of unity and patriotism among the citizens. The local administration is committed to making this year’s Independence Day celebrations memorable for all.

As the country gears up for Independence Day, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and the preparations in Prantij exemplify the collective spirit of celebration. Citizens are encouraged to participate actively and showcase their love for the nation by proudly displaying the Indian flag at their homes.
