MG Science College has achieved remarkable success in its campus placement for the 2025 batch. Out of 90 students who took part in the placement drive, 58 students received job offers. This indicates a strong performance in a time when many science colleges are facing difficulties in attracting top recruiters for their BSc and MSc programs.

The highest salary offered this year reached ₹4.8 lakh per annum, which is around ₹40,000 per month. This is a significant increase compared to last year’s highest salary of ₹3.8 lakh. The college’s principal, Jatin Parikh, noted that one student received a job offer from S&P Global for ₹40,000 per month. Additionally, 22 BSc students were offered ₹39,600 per month positions by the Gujarat Water Resources Development Corporation (GWRDC).

This year marked the debut of companies like BK Tyres, which also made impressive offers to students. The job roles primarily involved laboratory work and quality control. However, a few students decided to pursue jobs in marketing during the campus placement.

Among the successful candidates, eleven students received job offers from Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), eleven from BK Tyres, eight from Zydus Cadila, and three from INTAS Pharma. Other companies like Mining 360, Mankind, and La Renon also extended offers to students.

Principal Parikh pointed out that job opportunities for BSc graduates are often limited. Many graduates tend to opt for higher studies, whether in India or abroad, or choose to go into research. However, the students recruited from colleges like MG Science College are often both talented and ready for the industry. This readiness makes them attractive to employers.

MG Science College is one of the oldest science colleges in the city, with around 300 BSc students and over 100 MSc students enrolled in each batch. The strong placement results reflect the college’s commitment to providing quality education and preparing students for the job market.

Overall, the placement drive at MG Science College demonstrates the institution’s ability to adapt to the changing job landscape and meet the needs of employers. The success of its students in securing good job offers is a testament to the college’s efforts in nurturing and developing the skills of its graduates.
