New Orphanage ‘Aapnu Ghar’ Opens in Patan

A new orphanage named ‘Aapnu Ghar’ has opened in Patan city. This facility is located in the Virai Chakla area at Tirupati Plaza. It aims to provide shelter and education for orphaned and underprivileged children aged 1 to 13 years. The inauguration took place on Monday, attended by Patan MP and various dignitaries.

The orphanage will offer free education, accommodation, and meals for the children. Jalpa Ben Rabari, a 23-year-old from Goshan village in the Banaskantha district, started this initiative. She used her savings from three years of work to fund this noble cause.

Jalpa Ben previously worked in Gandhinagar for two years after completing her 12th grade. She also performed as a singer at many stage shows. During her work, she noticed children begging on the streets and felt inspired to improve their futures. This motivation led her to establish the orphanage in a rented space with 12 rooms, which can accommodate up to 35 children. Currently, 12 children have registered and are receiving free services, including meals, clothing, and education.

The orphanage has arranged for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the children. Those who are admitted will also be enrolled in local schools. The organization will cover all expenses, including uniforms and fees. Children interested in singing, dancing, or art will have the opportunity to attend special classes in those areas. Jalpa Ben will also help the children with their studies.

She invites orphaned children from any district in Gujarat to join the orphanage. She requests anyone who knows of orphaned children to contact her. The goal is to provide these children with a safe and supportive environment. The orphanage also welcomes community participation in its management.

During the inauguration, Patan MP Bharat Singh Dabhai praised Jalpa Ben’s efforts. He highlighted that establishing an organization is not easy and requires overcoming many challenges. He encouraged everyone to think about their contributions to community service, noting that whether we do one task or many, the effort remains the same. He congratulated Jalpa Ben for her excellent work.

Several local leaders were present at the event, including Banaskantha BJP President Kirtisinh Vaghela and regional BJP leaders like Vinaysinh Jhala, Navghanji Thakor, and others. Their support emphasizes the importance of community involvement in such noble initiatives. Jalpa Ben’s orphanage is a significant step toward providing a better future for children in need, and the community is hopeful for its success.
