New Tejas Express Train to Connect Indore and Mumbai

A new semi-high-speed Tejas Express train will soon run between Indore and Mumbai. This service is introduced by the Western Railway to manage the increasing number of passengers during upcoming festivals. The train will start operations on July 23 and will run until August 30, making a total of 34 trips. The train numbered 09085 will depart from Mumbai Central to Indore every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:20 PM. It will reach Dahod at 7:12 AM and arrive in Indore at 1 PM. The return trip, train number 09086, will leave Indore every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 5 PM, reaching Mumbai Central at 7:10 AM the next day after stopping at Dahod at 9:55 PM.

This new train service will stop at various stations including Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Dahod, Ratlam, and Ujjain. Passengers can book tickets for this special train starting from July 21. The Tejas Express is designed with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable journey. It is fully air-conditioned and offers First AC, AC 2-tier, and AC 3-tier coaches. Notable features of the train include automatic doors, personal lights at each seat, Wi-Fi, LCD screens, and full CCTV security. These facilities aim to make the travel experience more comfortable and secure for passengers.

This service comes after recent efforts by MP Jaswant Singh Bhabhor, who advocated for more train services in the region. The introduction of Tejas Express is seen as beneficial for the local population, providing better travel options for both business and leisure.

The initiative reflects the growing demand for efficient train travel in India, especially between major cities. As more people choose rail travel for its speed and convenience, the government is keen to enhance connectivity across states, ensuring that infrastructural developments meet the needs of passengers.

Passengers can expect a significant improvement in their travel experience with the launch of this train. The Western Railway aims to provide timely services and reduce congestion during peak travel times, particularly around festival seasons when travel demand peaks. This new service not only enhances travel options but also contributes to the overall efficiency of railway operations in the region.

In conclusion, the new Tejas Express will play a vital role in connecting Indore and Mumbai, serving the needs of many travellers. It represents a step forward in modernising Indian rail travel and improving passenger experiences across the country.
