A meeting was held on October 18, 2023, to discuss the organisation of the Bhadravi Poonam Mahamela scheduled for September 1 to 7, 2025. The meeting took place under the chairmanship of District Collector Mihir Patel at the Collectorate office in Palanpur. The Collector emphasised the importance of planning for the safety, crowd management, sanitation, health, and drinking water for the pilgrims attending the festival.
The Bhadravi Poonam Mahamela, held annually at Ambaji, draws millions of devotees who come to worship Goddess Amba. This year, the focus is on enhancing facilities for the pilgrims, ensuring that their experience during the fair is comfortable and enjoyable. The Collector noted that the number of devotees attending the fair has been increasing every year, necessitating special arrangements to accommodate them.
During the meeting, various officials discussed the need for transportation services, accommodation, food arrangements, parking, health facilities, cleanliness, law and order, traffic management, lighting, and security measures. District Superintendent of Police Akshayraj Makwana and other relevant department officials were present to contribute to the planning.
