Tragic Discovery: Two Youths Found Dead in Narmada Canal in Tharad

In a tragic incident, two young men were found dead in the Narmada canal near Tharad. The news has shocked the local community, raising concerns about safety in the area. The bodies were discovered near the Dairy and Chudmer bridges. Reports indicate that this is not the first time such events have occurred in the canal.

Since 2006, there have been several cases of murder, suicide, and accidental deaths in the Narmada canal in Tharad. This ongoing issue has left many residents worried about their safety and the condition of the canal. Fire officer Viram Rathod from the Tharad municipality stated that the first call about a person jumping into the canal was received. Upon reaching the scene, the fire brigade conducted a search but could not find any body at that time.

The search resumed the following morning, and after much effort, the first body was located. It was then retrieved from the canal and handed over to the family for further arrangements. Later in the day, another call suggested that another youth had jumped into the canal near the Chudmer bridge. Again, the fire brigade responded, but the body was not found initially.

Local fishermen began searching the canal early in the morning, but they also faced difficulties in locating the second body. After several hours of searching, the fire brigade was able to find the second body as well. Both bodies have been taken out of the canal and returned to their families.

This series of incidents has left the Tharad community in a state of anxiety. Residents are calling for increased safety measures around the canal to prevent future tragedies. The local government is under pressure to address these concerns and ensure that such unfortunate events do not happen again.

The deaths have raised awareness about the dangers of the canal, and many are urging for better safety protocols in the area. The community is seeking answers and support from local authorities to help prevent further loss of life. For now, the families of the deceased are mourning their loss, and the community stands in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
